I had the same problem with windows 10 and rome 1. I forgot what I did exactly but I did get it to work, I think you have to go into the prefrences.txt file and disable anti aliasing or it wont launch for whatever reason. - Oct 08, 2016 Unable to play any games on Windows 10. I tried Sim City 4, The Sims 4, Rome: Total War and Rome: Total War - Barbarian Invasion, and they all came up with an admin prompt to play it but when I clicked on Yes, it hasn't done anything. It starts to think about loading but that's it, nothing. They are all from CD/DVD rather than via Steam.
