Star Metal one of the most rarest material in the game. It spawns randomly and requires much more effort to obtain. If you find this article useful, please check out my Interactive Conan Exiles Map. Where does Star Metal spawn? Star Metal spawns in the most North Westerly region on the map, just before you reach The Temple of Frost. Desc: DebugCamps: Coords. We are introducing a new weather system for Conan Exiles, and update 32 is the first step in this process. The new system adjusts the weather based on what area you are in. As the weather grows more severe your surroundings can become more foggy or windy.

That gives star metal? Cause I have watched almost all youtube videos and camp at snow peaks everywhere and not see any meteorite strikes. Also today, I noticed that the Cimmerians near the Mount of the Dead are using hardened AND star metal level weapons, making them the most dangerous human mob in the game. So video game logic would dictate that those Cimmerians are farming star metal somewhere near. Hover around in ghost mode, don't see anything. So, video game logic failed. So back to main question, how rare are these meteorite events? Is there even any point getting the star metal tier if star metal is going to be this hard to come by legitimately?

(I mean flawless Hardened Steel sword, which is legitimately obtainable in game, is only like 8 damages off from a regular Star Metal sword (and flawless star metal sword is not obtainabe. I think)Food for thought. Your video-game logic is correct! The meteors drop right north of the Cimmerians at the Mounds of the Dead. They seem to hit multiple times per day. Best to set up a base nearby, and wait for them to crash. (But not too close. I've set up machines around their crash zones, and they've been destroyed).

You can see them coming from almost anywhere on the map, but if you're in the same 1/8th of the map as the meteors drop, then you'll even be able to hear them.Often players don't clear every meteor out there, so if you really search around, you'll likely find a couple hanging onto the side of the mountain directly north of the Cimmerians. You can hop right on top of the meteors that are stuck against the mountain cliffs, and throw fire orbs at them. My clanmates will stand right on top of the meteor and crack a fire orb directly at their feet. Deals a lot of damage, but it's a highly effective way to mine the meteors that are hard to reach. If you frequent the meteor spawns, you'll be rolling in Star Metal ore in no time at all. They're only rare if you don't spend much time near the spawns. Other times, you'll even want to pass Star Metal up, because you already have plenty.

I wish I had better info but I can say in one big session while gathering up north near the ice giant temple I saw one meteor shower, then 2 in-game days passed before I noticed another. I might have missed one between while making food (RL that is), but I did pass each night just looking up at the sky from the safety of my little tower-in-progress while figuring out how much more I needed of what materials. I also listened for the meteor strike sound during the day, but that's a bit harder to focus on while chased by 3 saber-toothed tigers.Only anecdotal evidence I'm afraid, but all I have. Each node provided quite a fair bit of ore though so if you do get them it's a significant amount. I know there's a lot of good and specific comments. But I don't know. I just don't see any.

I've waited at the gorge leading up to the Frost Temple like someone mentioned. I've built a small house and camped near the Burrow King overlooking the entire Cimmerian Village Valley.Nothing.Also, I am running Single Player, could it be a setting thing?Edit: As I typed that, I just saw a meteorite strike, going to track it down now.

For future reference, how long do I have before they despawn?.
